Contamac is pleased to announce that Maureen Trusky of Mo.Events LLC will assume management of CLASS (Contact Lenses of the Americas Specialist Symposium) from 2024.

CLASS was founded on the pillars of high-quality education at accessible prices with simultaneous translation in English and Spanish. The first CLASS Symposium was held in Bogota, Colombia and attracted more than 1,000 delegates. Since its inception in 2018, it has become a widely recognized event, not just in the Latin American market, but globally.

Robert McGregor, Managing Director at Contamac Ltd thanks Carlos Mayoral, Contamac’s Key Account Manager in Latin America, for his founding vision with CLASS, remarking: “Carlos recognized the demand for CLASS and has been instrumental in its success over the past 5 years. With a wealth of first-hand experience and extensive knowledge in vision care tradeshows, Maureen Trusky and Mo.Events will bring a multifaceted approach to CLASS Symposium in the future. “I had the pleasure of attending CLASS 2022 in Cartegena, and I was immediately struck by the passion and excitement of the presenters, staff, and attendees,” Maureen Trusky, founder of Mo.Events, said. “I am thrilled at the opportunity to expand the reach and relationships of CLASS.”

Mo.Events has appointed Visionary Medical Education (VME) as the educational partner for CLASS 2024 to help bring high-quality COPE-accredited medical education. “We are absolutely thrilled to be the educational partner for CLASS 2024,” said Michael S. Cooper, OD, President of VME, “As an OD myself, I can appreciate the impact specialty contact lenses can have in patients’ lives. My chief goal will be to elevate and innovate the educational experience for attendees from start to finish.”

An exciting program of CLASS Workshops will take place in Latin America throughout 2023.
